Oscars Best and Worst Dressed 2014

Sooo I completely forgot about the Oscars post I was gonna do whoops! God I am horrible at this blog thing haha! Well hopefully I'll get better at it :p ...anyway I'll get onto the point of this post.

This year we saw mostly neutral colours at the Oscars, I don't know why that is especially since bright colours have been very in especially with the colour of the year being Radiant Orchid. There were only a handful of celebrities who chose a colourful dress and they probably stood out the most to me as I LOVEE colour. Another trend was capes and shawls from Camilla Alves and Kate Hudson to Jada Pinket Smith and Lady Gaga and I have to say they def worked for me (for the most part..I'm looking at you Penelope). Now lets get to the dresses!

Here are some of the my top 10 best dressed of the evening..
Lupita Nyong'o in a custom Prada gown

Christine Teigen in a Monique Lhuillier gown

Charlize Theron in a a gorgeous black Dior gown

Kate Hudson in a Jordan Strauss Gown (loved the padded shoulder cape!)

Camilla Alves in a Gabriela Cadena gown (my favourite of the night)

Portia de Rossi in a jaw dropping Naeem Khan gown

Cate Blanchett in Armani (she can do no wrong)

Mommy to be Olivia Wilde in this gorgeous Valentino gown (I had to show the back as well because the dress would not be complete without it)

Jennifer Lawrence (looking as gorgeous as ever) in a bright orange Dior gown

Pink in my fav Elie Saab

And now for the Worst dressed...

Penelope Cruz in Giambattista Valli ..this wasn't my favourite look, it didn't really flatter Penelope's figure at all and the added shawl was visibly annoying as she had to keep adjusting it.

Kerry Washington in Jason Wu.. Although I loved the colour and thought it suited her skin tone I just did not like the model of the dress, it looked like a wrinkled satin bed sheet. Her Golden Globes dress on the other hand was wayyyy better!

Liza Minneli.. Don't know who the designer is but I didn't enjoy this suit anyway. I love blue and it has been my favourite colour to wear for the past year but this is just a little to extreme for me. If the pants were a different colour she might have been able to pull it off.

Whoopi Goldberg ... I could not find the designer of this outfit ..probably for the better because this is just...as Consuela would say...No...No...

Elsa Pataky in Elie Saab, although I love Elie Saab designs this was not my favourite. It is very unflattering and the colour..just no. Both Kerry and Elsa should have taken some pointers from Olivia

Veerle Baetens in Haider Ackermann ...All I have to say is...why?... just why..

Anna Kendrick in J. Mendel... I love this girl, so it makes me so sad to have to put her on the worst dressed list. There was just wayy too much going on here that it just looked like a mess.

Although there were many gorgeously dressed ladies tonight, they couldn't all make it on my top 10 list so here are some other great dresses of the night that didn't make the top 10 but are nevertheless still amazing

Angelina Jolie in Elie Saab

Bete Midler in a Reem Acra gown (she rocked this dress!)

Emma Watson in Vera Wang

Laura Dern in a Alberta Ferretti gown

Jessica Biel in Chanel

Jada Pinket Smith in Versace

Merly Streep in Lanvin

Sarah Paulson in Elie Saab (when is American Horror Story coming back though?? Who else is excited for season 4..it's gonna be a carnival theme :D)

Jenna Dewan in Reem Acra

Jennifer Garner in Oscar de la Renta

Kristin Chenoweth in Roberto Cavali (this reminded me very much of The Great Gatsby which won all the awards!! yay)

Lara Spencer in KaufmanFranco

Maria Menounos in Joanna Johnson

Nancy O'Dell ..unfortunately I could not find who this dress was by, if anyone knows please let me know ;)

Amy Adams in Gucci

Naomi Watts in Calvin Klein

Viola Davis in Escada (green is definitely her colour! Also one of the few celebs who chose a colourful dress)

Gabourey Sidibe in Versace (another colourful gown :))) )

Lady Gaga in Versace (Although I love seeing what gaga will do next, it's nice to see her in a fairly normal gown every once in a while lol)

Anne Hathaway in Gucci

Calista Flockhart in Andrew Gn

My girl Kristen Bell in Roberto Cavalli (who else is excited to go see the Veronica Mars movie that just came out!!!)

Karen O in Camilla Staerk

Kelly Ripa in Roland Mouret

Julia Roberts in Givency (I feel like a lot of people did not like this dress but I thought it suited her)
